has been invited to speak at the Intelligent Wells conference
in Stavanger (28th -30th April).
John will be speaking
on the Wednesday morning about "The changing face of
Reliability Fears" and will illustrate it with experience
from the Intelligent Well Reliability Group and from two recent
Reliability Risk Analysis projects - one for a Shell development
in the Auger field in the Gulf of Mexico, the other a Shell/RashPetco
development in Egypt.
Also
very relevant to reliability issues -
- Fridtjof Nyhaven of Sintef will be speaking about
"Risk and Reliability Modelling";
- and Craig Paveley of BG Group will follow with "Considering
the Availability Model when striving for Reliability"
The rest of the
conference looks interesting too - particularly for us the
Petrobras presentation on the first day, because we have worked
on their all-electric intelligent completions. It will be
interesting to hear the end-user's perspective !

is a visit arranged to Rogaland's "Reliability Testing
Facility" in Stavanger the evening before - that looks
good, too.
